I’ve been writing for fun since I was 12, and seriously for a few years. I write mainly science fiction and fantasy because those are the stories I loved most as a child — stories by Arthur C. Clarke, Ursula Le Guin, Neil Gaiman, and David Mitchell. Some people whose work I’ve loved recently are Patrick Rothfuss, Becky Chambers and Mary Robinette Kowall.
I live near Cambridge, England. I’m working on my PhD in space physics, specialising in the magnetic field around Jupiter.
